The first annual Minnesota SkillsUSA Team Engineering Challenge will be hosted in conjunction with the Engineering Machine Design Championship providing an opportunity to further inspire students’ interest in engineering and expand their skills. Learn more…

Tentative Schedule

8:30 AM – 8:50 AM | Welcome and Orientation
9:00 AM – 12:30 PM | Special Awards Judging
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM | Preliminary Round Judging
10:40 AM | Finalists Announced
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Finals Round Judging
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM | Educational Session
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM | Awards Ceremony

This schedule is tentative and subject to change.

Students will be able to participate in this event along
with the Team Engineering Challenge taking place the same day.


Team Registration

Qualifying teams will receive an email invitation to register for the Championship and all relevant information will be made available here. The password to access the site will be made available to team coaches.

WHAT: Engineering Machine Design Championship Event

WHO: All Senior and Junior Division teams that earned the opportunity to advance to the Championship from their Regional Contest.

WHERE: Minnesota State University | Mankato, MN 56001

INTENT to ATTEND: Coaches must complete the Intent to Attend form after their Regional Contest. Visit the Championship Team Resource webpage for more information.

REGISTRATION: The registration and payment deadline is available on the Championship Team Resource webpage.

COST: $20 per team member. If this causes any financial concerns, scholarship offers are available to help offset expenses. Email engineering@mnsu.edu for more information on this.

COVID-19 Guidelines will be in place per the Minnesota’s Stay Safe Plan and all attendees will be provided a mask upon check-in.
