After playing this game, learners will be able to recognize common engineering disciplines by reinforcing the connection between each engineering discipline and related keywords and icons.

Learners will play in groups of two or four and will race to match cards with keywords and icons that represent common engineering disciplines.

six simple machines card game

| Grades: 3 -12 +|

After playing this game, learners will be able to recognize and identify the six Simple Machines in various objects.

Players will race to match everyday objects (Object Cards) to a corresponding Simple Machine. One point is earned for each correct match and one point is lost for each incorrect match. The player or team with the most points wins.

After playing this game, learners will be able to explain the value of the Backward Design Process. for learners by having them construct a series of processes to connect a specific result to a starting area. Then completing the same process in reverse.

Learners will construct a series of processes to connect a specific end goal to a starting card. Then completing the same process in reverse to demonstrate the benefit of using the Backward Design Process.
