Dr. Leah Roue is an Associate Professor in Construction Management at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Roue is passionate about education, process improvement, creating pathways to recognize learning both in and out of the classroom, using technology to promote learning and community, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the built environment, and connecting students to their local economy. In 2018, she founded the local chapter of the ACE Mentorship Program of Southern Minnesota for area high school students to learn from industry experts about Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE).
Dr. Roue will address what she considers to be the five pillars of education: industry involvement, project-based learning, global citizenship, entrepreneurship, and service learning as opportunities to diversify education and strengthen opportunities for underserved populations.
