Engineering Academic Days

Dates: October 22nd, 29th, & November 2nd, 2018
Info:The main mission of the Engineering Academic Days is to encourage and motivate high school students to pursue educational opportunities in the area of engineering and to increase their access to higher education.

Women in STEM

Date: November 30th, 2018 and April 4th, 2019
Info:The purpose of this free event is to provide an opportunity for female post-secondary students in STEM programs to meet professionals in their fields of study.

MATHCOUNTS Competition

Date: February 1st, 2019
Info: MATHCOUNTS is a competition for 6th-8th grade youth that sparks an interest and build skills in math, logical and analytical thinking, and teamwork. Through connections with engineers and other professionals, youth learn about math-related careers.

Middle School & High School Science Fair

Date: February 16th, 2019
Info:The Southern Minnesota Regional Science and Engineering Fairs allow elementary, middle, and high school students to experience what it is to think like a scientist or engineer, to investigate and experiment in an area of interest, and to share their results.

7th Grade Career Readiness Days

 Dates: February 20th, 26th, May 15th, & 16th, 2019
Info:The STEM Career Readiness Days provides 7th grade students with an opportunity to be exposed to STEM careers, as well as university faculty and students.

Engineering Machine Design Contest

Date: March 22nd, 2019
Info:Teams of up to four students from any conventional high schools, charter schools, technical schools and home schools may participate in making and competing with Rube Goldberg Machines.

Explore STEM Summer Programs

Info: Multi-day programs that provide youth the opportunity to explore various engineering and STEM disciplines through experiential and project-based learning.
